Project Title
Censorship of Literature: Who Censors and How Does that Impact the Cultivation of Thought in Pakistan
Description
This research will examine the impact of censorship on the creative process of authors and journalists in Pakistan. One-on-one interviews with authors and journalists will be employed as the primary data collection method, allowing for an exploration of how censorship impacts their creativity and the challenges they face in navigating restrictive policies. The study will contribute to a broader understanding of censorship in Pakistan and its impact on intellectual freedom and creative expression. It is important to shed light on this issue and understand its implications for society, as literature has the potential to build various dialogues, challenge mainstream narratives, and shape strong identities/personalities. My research presents an argument solely focused on who censors books in Pakistan and the impact it has on the creative expression of authors.
